Version 0.10 brings a new UI derived from the dwv-simplistic project (see demo), this means new features such as a ruler and a toggle orientation. The full screen is now in the toolbar.
While writing, the settings of the shortcode (height, width, window center and window width), are now available in the settings of the block (right panel).
Version 0.9.0 finally brings blocks to the plugin! Select the ‘Dicom’ block, choose you images and it will generate the dcm shortcode for you. See it in action in the Dicom block page.
The shortcode now can accept a list of media library ids. This makes the gallery override not useful anymore, I plan to remove it in the near future except if people tell me they really really need it.
The version updates DWV to v0.26.0 to allow viewing RLE encoded data and non standard data (data without the ‘DCIM’ header).
The plugin works fine with WordPress 5.2 “Jaco” even though you still need to use a classic block to insert DICOM data…
This is a new post created with WordPress 5.1 “Betty” and the DICOM Support plugin 0.7.2 (sorry I missed WordPress 5.0 “Bebo”).
For now, you cannot add dicom views with the new ‘image’ or ‘gallery’ blocks, you need to use a ‘classic’ block and then choose the ‘add media’ button.

This release is a big re-write of the plugin to allow for a real full screen option and take advantage of the latest features of DWV 0.25.2 such as the ability to load DICOMDIR files (*.dcmdir). I’ll post more about this later. The other new feature is the setting of a user window/level preset from the blog post using the window_center, window_width and wl_name options in the shortcode and the gallery.
This new version of the plugin bundles the latest version of the DWV viewer (v0.22.0) which brings bug fixes and improvements such as: more locales, updated decoders and improved DICOM parsing. Enjoy!
This is a new post created with WordPress 4.9 “Tipton” and the DICOM Support plugin 0.5.2. All systems are operational!
This new version of the plugin bundles the latest version of the DWV viewer (v0.17.0) which brings bug fixes and improvements. If you are curious, here is the full list. Among them, maybe the most visible is the new double click on the image when in scroll mode that will trigger a ‘play’ of the data either of all slices or all frames.
On the side of the plugin, based on users request, I added a ‘Full screen’ link just below the image to launch the viewer on its own page. This version launches the ‘simplistic’ viewer for dependency reasons. Other viewer are available, see the DWV demo page. They could be integrated in the future… Just ask on the plugin support page!

Version 0.4 of the plugin brings the new dwv v0.16.0 with a bunch of new functionalities. Among others the support for multi-frame data!
